Nell 4K Wallpaper
This Privacy Policy describes how Nell 4K Wallpaper (the “Application”) handles information. The Application is a free wallpaper catalog for Android. It is offered as-is and does not require an account.
What this app is designed to do
Nell 4K Wallpaper lets you browse wallpapers by category, preview them full screen, set them on the Home screen and/or Lock screen, save them to your device gallery, keep a local favorites list, and share an image through Android’s share sheet.
Information we do not collect
The Application does not ask you to create an account, and it does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, payment details, or advertising identifiers. It does not include ads, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or social-login SDKs.
We do not use the Application to build a marketing profile of you, and we do not sell personal information.
Information stored only on your device
The following stays on your device unless you back up the device or uninstall the app:
- Favorites. The wallpaper address and category of items you mark as favorites, stored in the Application’s local database.
- Downloads list. A local record of wallpapers you saved, so they can appear in the Downloads tab.
- Gallery copies. If you choose Download, a JPEG is written to your Pictures album named “Nell 4K Wallpaper”.
- Preferences. Small flags such as whether the swipe hint has already been shown.
- Image cache. Recently viewed wallpaper files may be cached by the image loader to speed up browsing.
- Share cache. A temporary JPEG may be created in the Application cache when you share a wallpaper.
Uninstalling the Application removes app-private data (favorites, the in-app downloads list, preferences, and cache). Images already saved to your gallery remain until you delete them yourself. Device or cloud backups (if you have Android backup enabled) may include app-private data.
Network use when you browse wallpapers
The category catalog is packaged with the Application. Wallpaper images are loaded from our content servers when you view or save them. Like any HTTPS request, those servers may automatically receive technical data such as your IP address, approximate region derived from that address, device and app identifiers sent by the operating system, and the time of the request. This is ordinary server-log information used to deliver the image, keep the service available, and prevent abuse. It is not used to identify you by name or to show you ads.
Permissions
- Internet. Required to load wallpaper images.
- Set wallpaper. Used only when you confirm setting a wallpaper on the Home screen, Lock screen, or both.
- Photos / storage (Android 9 and earlier). Used only when you save a wallpaper to the gallery. On newer Android versions, saving uses the system media store without a broad storage permission.
The Application does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location.
Sharing that you start
If you use Share, Android’s system share sheet lets you send the image to another app you choose (for example Messages or a social app). Those apps handle the image under their own policies. We do not receive a copy of that share.
If you download Nell 4K Wallpaper from Google Play, Google may process install and device information under Google’s Privacy Policy. The Application does not embed Google Play Services for advertising or analytics.
Children
The Application is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it where applicable.
Retention and your choices
Local data is kept until you remove the related item in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall. Gallery files remain until you delete them from Photos. You can stop all network requests from the Application by turning off the device’s network connection or uninstalling the app.

Security
Image requests use HTTPS. Data stored by the Application on your device is protected by Android’s ordinary app sandbox. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The revised version will be posted on this page, with an updated effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
